One of the most sought-after footballers in the world in current times, Kylian Mbappe, has reportedly informed the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy that he will leave the club at the end of the season. A new report claimed that the 25-year-old has signed a contract with his new club amid high interest from European giants like Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, "Kylian Mbappé has informed PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will LEAVE the club as free agent. The terms of the departure are yet to be fully agreed but he will LEAVE Paris in the summer — Kylian has yet to fulfil his commitments to the club."
Mbappe has been a long-term target for Spanish giants Real Madrid. At the same time, many believe the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner would follow French legend Thierry Henry's footsteps and join Premier League club Arsenal this summer. According to football journalist Santi Aouna, Kylian Mbappe has already signed a five-year contract with Los Blancos.
Kylian Mbappe's expected salary at Real Madrid
Santi also reported that Nasser Al Khelaifi had a negative reaction to Mbappe's decision to leave the club this summer. Apart from that, Real Madrid would be offering the No.10 jersey to Mbappe upon his arrival. The 38-year-old Luka Modric, who is in the final phase of his storied career, could leave the club soon after he slipped down the pecking order from Carlo Ancelotti's side despite signing a contract extension last year.
The French forward earns €72 million per year from PSG, and his annual salary at Real Madrid will reportedly range from €15-20 million. Additionally, Mbappe will earn a €50 million signing bonus from the La Liga giants while his presentation will take place at the new Santiago Bernabéu.
