La Liga announces fixtures for the 2023/24 which will be the 93rd season of the historic competition. The season will start on August 12 with Barcelona beginning their title defence against Getafe. While Real Madrid will face Athletic Bilbao in their opening game.
The eagerly awaited El Clasico will take place on October 29, 2023, at the Montjuic stadium, with the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu set for April 21, 2024. Some of the other important games include the Madrid derby and Atletico Madrid will host the city rivals on September 24 with the return leg slated on February 4.
The final weekend could also see some drama as Sevilla face Barcelona while Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad. The La Liga season will finish a week earlier than it did this season, on May 26 as the 2022-23 campaign was elongated by the Winter World Cup in Qatar.
