Injury woes continue for Kumara

Lahiru Kumara sustained the injury in the ongoing 1st Test against Bangladesh. Kumara bowled 28 overs in first innings, claiming figures of 1/88. When taken for MRI scans on Friday, SLC confirmed the presence of injury. With his exit, Sri Lanka is left with only three bowlers for the second innings, including Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando and Wanindu Hasaranga.

This is the second time in a period of five to six months, Kumara will be unable to complete a Test match due to injury. The 24-year-old was unable to complete the Boxing Day Test in centurion last year, suffering a groin injury.
