The six-team qualifying tournament of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 will be held at Lahore, Pakistan from April 9-19. All 15 games in the round-robin competition will be contested at two locations, Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore City Cricket Association grounds. Pakistan taking on Ireland and Scotland versus the West Indies will begin the qualifying campaign in Lahore on April 9, ahead of the Women's ODI World Cup, which will be held in India in October-November this year. Bangladesh and Thailand, the other two teams competing in the six-team qualifier tournament, will meet each other the next day.

The schedule was officially released today, March 14, three weeks before the tournament began, though three boards - West Indies, Ireland, and Bangladesh - had already announced the dates. Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, along with hosts India, have already qualified for the World Cup by finishing in top six of the 10-team ICC Women's Championship (2022-25).

All teams are geared up for the competition and will be a competitive tournament, ICC CEO Geoff Allardice

The qualification matches begin with a double-header on April 9, with hosts Pakistan taking on Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium and the West Indies facing Scotland at LCCA in Lahore. The following day, Bangladesh and Thailand compete at LCCA.

Meanwhile, ICC CEO Geoff Allardice is expecting some fiery competition in Lahore. "The six teams are just one step away from the Women’s Cricket World Cup and I am sure they would be all geared up for the competition," he said.

"On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish all the participating teams the very best of luck and hope to see some competitive cricket in Lahore as a build-up to the World Cup in India," he added.
