The British-Belgian Formula 1 racer Lando Norris mocked his competitor Max Verstappen after finishing P2 in the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday, September 24. Norris was present with Verstappen in the cooldown room, where he was discussing and reacting to the highlights of the race being displayed on the screen.
Since Verstappen has had a podium finish in most of the races in the season, his presence in the cool-down room led to memes calling them the racer’s podcast. Norris took to social media to post a picture with Verstappen along with Oscar Piastri and called out the Red Bull driver. The Dutch driver is known for being the most talkative in the cooldown rooms while debriefing fellow racers.
Morris wrote, “Best episode of the max Verstappen podcast” Speaking of Verstappen, the 25-year-old cruised to his 13th win of the season in Suzuka. After the race, Verstappen addressed the media and said, “Yeah, I think it was a good race. Of course, the start was a bit tight in the first two corners, but after that, yeah, the car was very nice to drive again. I could really look after the tires well, the degradation was quite in control.”
He added, "The balance was still quite OK, traction and stuff for the whole stint. So, yeah, honestly, like no real issues throughout the race, and I think that just sums up the weekend as well. It’s been an incredible weekend to drive the car."
