The Australian cricketer sustained a calf injury in the first over of their first match last weekend. As reported by Cricket Australia, Mooney returned to training with the Gujarat-based franchise but her calf is expected to take up to six weeks to heal properly. They also added that she will return to Australia for rehabilitation.

“I was really looking forward to the maiden WPL season… but unfortunately injuries are part and parcel of the sport and I am gutted to be missing the remainder of the season,” Beth Mooney said in a statement.
