One of the most exciting cricketing tournaments, Legends League Cricket, that features some former international stars is set to be back in the month of September. LLC, which features international cricketing icons who have bid adieu to their regular cricketing careers, will deliver high octane drama to its fans from September 11 to October 5. The third season of the league will be played in India and Qatar and with no other big league taking place during that time, LLC will surely add to the flavour.
Th e LLC Season 3 will have a total of 34 matches. The development comes after the successful completion of season 2 which had 19 matches being played and saw Harbhajan Singh’s Manipal Tigers emerging victorious. The player auction for the forthcoming cricketing extravaganza will take place on August 29, and fans across the globe will be able to catch live action on LLC's YouTube channel and FanCode.
The previous season of the tournament saw some top players including Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla and Ross Taylor. While the details of retention and release are not clear yet, it is expected that most of the players will be seen in action in the latest season too.
Apart from all these, former India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who announced his retirement last week will also be joining the league and some of his former teammates. It will be interesting to see which teams bid for the 'Gabbar' of Indian cricket. The six franchise that participate in the league are India Capitals (GMR Groups), Gujarat Giants (Adani Sportline), Bhilwara Kings (LNJ Bhilwara Group), Manipal Tigers (Manipal Education and Medical Group), Urbanrisers Hyderabad (Urbanrise Group/Trident Power) and Southern Superstars (KLO Sports).
