Nia Jax, the ex-WWE star, also known as Lina Fanene, has announced that she is joining the no bra club on June 17, Saturday. The 39-year-old professional wrestler has been one of the most dominant athletes in the women’s division, winning multiple accolades during her illustrious career.
After signing with WWE in early 2014, Nia Jax became an integral part in the women’s revolution in the company. During her first stint as an active competitor, she became Raw Women’s Champion and a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Shayna Baszler. But in November 2021, the Australian-born wrestler was let go by WWE as part of their regular budget cuts during the pandemic era.
The last appearance for Nia Jax in a WWE ring happened at the Royal Rumble PLE earlier this year. She participated in the Women’s Royal Rumble match at the Alamodome in San Antonio on January 28. This 30-women over the top rope battle royale was won by the Australian superstar Rhea Ripley.
Notably, last weekend, the “Irresistible Force” of WWE, took to her official Twitter to say that she is done wearing bras. Her tweet read, “I’m done wearing bras! Let these girls hang”.
This prompted a ton of reactions from fans of Nia Jax in the comments section. Also, the fellow members of the no bra club chimed in with their responses too, appreciating her for making the switch.
Meanwhile, during her WWE career, Nia Jax, the cousin of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mother, achieved one of the most unique accolades in wrestling history. In 2019, at the Royal Rumble in Chase Field, Phoenix, she became the first superstar to compete in both men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches in one night.
