The ninth edition of the Champions Trophy will be played in Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9, 2025. The 50-over tournament is coming back after eight years, where eight teams will be seen competing against each other for the coveted title. The eight teams are decided based upon the points table of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, with the hosts Pakistan earning obivious qualification.

The left-hander has amassed 536 runs in 20 matches in Champions Trophy from 1998 to 2009, at an average of 29.77 and a strike rate of 88.01. He was a part of the 2002 Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka where island nation shared the trophy with India after a rain-affected final.
