The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) culminated with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ending their trophy draught and clinching their third IPL title on Sunday, May 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. What seemed to be a recap of the IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 game, ended in a one-sided clash with KKR securing an eight-wicket win.
After the completion of the tournament, the Orange Cap, which is received by the highest run-scorer in the edition, was awarded to Virat Kohli. The batting stalwart amassed 741 runs in 14 matches at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of above 150.
