Fast bowler Avesh Khan is now back in Lucknow Super Giants after the franchise bought him for INR 9.75 Crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Avesh was a part of the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024 after he was traded by LSG ahead of last year’s auction. The right-arm pacer took 19 wickets in 16 matches in IPL 2024 and was released by RR during the players’ retention ahead of the mega auction. 

Avesh Khan was among the top buys for Lucknow Super Giants when the franchise made its debut ahead of IPL 2022. The fast bowler got a whopping INR 10 Crore in the auction and was fast bowling spearhead for LSG for a couple of years, before he was traded to Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2024. 

Avesh Khan IPL Salary breakdown

Avesh Khan made his IPL debut in 2017 after Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought him for INR 10 Lakh. After playing just one match in that season, Avesh was sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 70 Lakh ahead of IPL 2018. After four years with DC, the fast bowler got a huge hike in his IPL salary after LSG bought him for INR 10 Crore in IPL 2022 mega auction, before he was traded to Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2024. Now, Avesh is back at LSG again for INR 9.75 Crore.

Talking about his IPL salary, Avesh Khan will play as a main fast bowler LSG in the upcoming season of the IPL, which means he is likely to complete his quota of four overs in a match. As a franchise is scheduled to play 14 league matches, Avesh will bowl 336 balls in the league stage. According to this, the fast bowler will earn around INR 2.90 Lakh per match. However, if LSG play 17 matches including the final, Avesh can bowl a maximum 408 balls during an entire IPL season. This means that Avesh Khan will earn approx INR 2.39 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025.
