Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has made history by becoming the most decorated member of the Madden NFL 99 Club. He received his seventh consecutive 99 overall rating in the upcoming Madden NFL 24, breaking the record of six held by former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.

The Madden NFL 99 Club is an exclusive group of players who have achieved the highest possible rating in the popular video game franchise. The club was officially created in 2019, but Madden has been awarding 99 ratings since its 1998 edition. Only a handful of players have earned the honour of being in the club, and even fewer have done it multiple times.

Donald is widely regarded as one of the best defensive players in NFL history, and his dominance on the field has been reflected in his Madden ratings. The defensive tackle has been rated 99 overall since Madden NFL 18 and has not dropped below that mark ever since. The 32-year-old is also one of only three players to win the Defensive Player of the Year award three times, along with Lawrence Taylor and Ray Lewis.

Donald is also the only defensive player to be in the club for seven straight years, as well as the only player to be in the club for every edition of Madden on the current generation of consoles.  Donald will look to continue his stellar performance on the field and will also aim to help his team win their first Super Bowl title since moving back to Los Angeles in 2016. Madden 24 comes out on August 18, but EA Play early access or those who purchase the deluxe edition will be able to play early access on August 15.
