Former India captain, MS Dhoni, popularly known as ‘Captain Cool’ among the masses is undoubtedly one of the most successful cricketers in the history of Indian cricket. An inspiration to billions, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is currently leading the Chennai-based franchise, Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. While the fans of the Ranchi-born cricketer don’t want to miss out on any opportunity to see their hero play live, the makers of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story have given ‘MSDians’ another reason to chant ‘Dhoni! Dhoni’. Star Studios have announced the re-release of MS Dhoni-The Untold Story on May 12. 


Star Studios have announced the re-release of the movie based on the legendary cricketer, M.S. Dhoni-The Untold Story. Taking it to their Instagram, the production house shared a poster of the movie which said, ‘Mahi Phir Aa Raha Hai’. It was captioned as, "Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pura India sirf "Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!" chilaayega. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Re-Releasing in cinemas on 12th May.”

The movie featured late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput alongside Kiara Advani as MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni. Actor Anupam Kher has depicted the role of Pan Singh Dhoni, father of the CSK skipper. The movie was released on September 30, 2016, across the nation and performed really well at the box office.


Speaking about the re-release of the movie, Bikram Duggal, head-Studios, Disney Star, said, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has not only been an incredibly special film for Star Studios, but also for Indians all over the world, showcasing the inspiring journey of our most successful cricket captain. The re-release aims to give his fans across the country another chance to relive cricket's most magical moments on the big screen.”


The movie was directed by Neeraj Pandey, and it starred Bhumika Chawla, Disha Patani, Kumud Mishra in other roles.
