Cricket comes to the United States of America with Major League Cricket, a new franchise T20 league, for its first-ever season in 2023. The excitement around the tournament received a massive boost when four IPL franchises - Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, confirmed owning four out of six teams in the league.
Like every American pro-sports league, the MLC also had its draft which was held at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. The Draft included some familiar names as former India U-19 stars Harmeet Singh, Smit Patel and Unmukt Chand were among the top few picks. Whereas current international players like Quinton de Kock, Mitchell Marsh, and Marcus Stoinis also found new teams.
