Manoj Yadav, the fast bowler from Kolhapur Tuskers, has achieved an incredible feat of picking up four wickets in five balls against Eagle Nashik Titans in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2023. In the same over, the 25-year-old cricketer managed to complete his hat-trick and ended up registering figures of 2-0-6-5 to demolish the batting order of the opposition.

The first over of the spell from Manoj Yadav was a steady one, in which he gave away five runs, but picked up an important wicket of Dhanraj Shinde, who was striking the ball well for the Eagle Nashik Titans.

In the 10th and the final over of the rain curtailed MPL match, Manoj Yadav was called upon by his captain Kedar Jadhav to finish off the bowling effort on a high note for Kolhapur Tuskers. On the first ball, Kaushal Tambe spooned one up in the air to the long-on fielder NS Shaikh, who caught the ball cleanly, quite similarly to Dhanraj Shinde’s dismissal.

Then, on the third ball of the 10th over, the Tuskers bowler attacked the stumps to castle the opener Siddhesh Veer for a well-made 34 off 25 deliveries with two fours and two sixes. On the next ball, Aditya Rajhas met the same fate as Siddhesh Veer.

On the hat-trick ball, Manoj Yadav deceived the tailender Prashant Solanki for no score to pick up his fourth wicket in five balls to help restrict the Titans to 88/9.

In the run chase, Kolhapur Tuskers chased down the target in a last ball thriller to win the match by nine wickets. Ankit Bawne scored an enterprising 62 off 27 deliveries with 11 fours and one six to guide his side to a much-needed win, to stay in the race for top spot on the points table in the MPL.
