Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United winger, has been left out of the upcoming UEFA Europa League (UEL) clash against FCSB at the National Arena, which is the eighth and final league stage match of the tournament. After being sidelined by manager Ruben Amorim for failing to uphold the standard of training, Marcus Rashford has missed out on a lot of matches for the Red Devils over the past couple of months, and he isn’t part of the 21-member squad for the trip to Bucharest in Romania.

Notably, Marcus Rashford was a part of training at the Carrington in Manchester ahead of the UEL clash against FCSB, but he wasn’t able to make the travelling squad. Luke Shaw had also joined training with his fellow Manchester United teammates after recovery from his latest injury sustained nearly two months ago, although his name wasn’t in the team for their upcoming visit to the Eastern European country.

Draw could be enough for Manchester United to book automatic knockout round spot in UEL

After winning their previous match in the UEFA Europa League at the Old Trafford against Rangers 2-1 with a second half added time goal from captain Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United jumped to fourth place in the league standings in the 36-team tournament. In the seven matches, the Red Devils have won four and lost three, to accumulate 15 points, but they still aren’t guaranteed to make the top eight, securing an automatic knockout round spot.

FCSB are currently in eight spot in the UEL league standings with four wins, two draws, and one loss in seven matches, accumulating 14 points in total, which probably won’t be enough to get an automatic knockout round spot without a positive result against Manchester United.

Manchester United’s squad for playing against FCSB in UEL:
