Mayank Agarwal took to his official Instagram account to share an update on his recent yo-yo test, which he aced with a score of 21.1, in the build-up to the upcoming Indian domestic season. With that, the 32-year-old has surpassed the former Indian captain Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill’s recent numbers in the endurance test, in a grand style.

Notably, all the players of the Indian cricket team underwent the yo-yo test, during the preparatory camp in late August, before they flew to Sri Lanka to take part in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Shubman Gill reportedly had the highest score of 18.7 in the endurance test among all the players of Team India, while Virat Kohli revealed on his Instagram story that he cleared it with a score of 17.2.
The Indian Test cricketer shared a video of himself, sweating it out on the field under the sun, which was a glimpse of his performance in the yo-yo test. He captioned his post, “Gearing up for the season. Level 21.1,” beating all his teammates in Team India comfortably.
Mayank Agarwal played for India the last time in March 2022, during the Test series at home against Sri Lanka. He was also called up as a replacement for Rohit Sharma in Team India, after the captain had a positive COVID-19 test in England, for the one-off Test match at the Edgbaston in Birmingham in July 2022.
In his international career, the 32-year-old has taken part in 21 Tests and five ODIs, since making his debut for India in 2018. Mayank Agarwal has scored 1488 runs in his long format career, including four hundreds and six fifties, with an high score of 243 vs Bangladesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore in November 2019.
