Indian veteran cricketer Dinesh Karthik was one of the names seeking the answer to the ‘Who’s hand is on Rishabh Pant’s shoulder?’ controversy. The cricketer hosted a Q&A session for his fans, where one of his followers asked him if he knew whose hand was on Rishabh Pant’s shoulder. Notably, the unsolved mystery has been going on since the ICC ODI World Cup 2019, after Hardik Pandya posted a group selfie from their ‘boys’ day out’. However, putting an end to all the debates and theories, one cricketer finally revealed the name.
Karthik was asked the question by a fan if he knew whose hand was on Pant’s shoulder, the cricketer-turned-commentator replied and said that even he is confused. He then added that it would be better to ask the young wicketkeeper himself. The 38-year-old replied, “Even am wondering. Best is to ask @RishabhPant17”
Mayank Agarwal finally stepped up and revealed that it was his hand that was on the 25-year-old’s shoulder. Agarwal took to Twitter and wrote, “After years of extensive research, debates, and countless conspiracy theories, let the nation finally know : it is MY hand on @RishabhPant17 shoulder ‼️‼️ Ps : any and all other claims are misleading and not true”
During the 2019 World Cup, Pandya posted a picture on his social media from one of their outings, which included former India captain MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Pandya himself, and Mayank Agarwal. The selfie left everyone on the internet confused due to a mysterious hand resting on Pant’s shoulder. While many came up with their own answers, theories, and memes, the name continued to remain a mystery even after four years, which Agarwal finally put an end to.
