EA Sports, one of the biggest developers and publishers of sports video games, revealed its brand new FC24 Ultimate Edition cover on July 10, Monday. But, in a massive surprise, the headliners for EA Sports FC don't have two of the greatest footballers of all time, namely Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The FC24 is billed as “the next chapter in The World’s Game,” by the makers of EA Sports, after their 30-year partnership with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) officially ended in May 2022. Both FIFA and Electronic Arts were unable to strike a new licensing deal, which led to the abrupt end of their long-standing collaboration.

On July 10, EA Sports FC took to their official Twitter account to unveil the brand new FC24 Ultimate Edition cover, featuring 31 of the best men’s and women’s football players in the world, from the past and the present. It included the likes of Erling Haaland, Marta, David Beckham, Vinicius Jr, Sam Kerr, Pele, Son Heung-min, Zinedine Zidane, and Alexia Putellas.
Their tweet read, “The stars of The World’s Game are in the club. Presenting the #FC24 Ultimate Edition Cover #EASPORTSFC”.
Moments ago, the organisation released an awe-inspiring video on the micro-blogging site, to inform everyone that the full FC24 reveal will happen on July 13, while captioning it, “Welcome to the club. Welcome to #EASPORTSFC.”
