After defeating Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have now ended their 10-year win drought against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in match number of IPL 2025. With the help of help fiery knocks by Virat Kohli and skipper Rajat Patidar, along with Jitesh Sharma's brilliant cameo in the end, RCB posted 221 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. In reply, MI fought hard but were restrcited 209 runs losing nine wickets as RCB won the match by 12 runs.
Virat Kohli scored 67 runs off 42 balls while Rajat Patidar played a captain's knock of 64(32) runs. After that, Jitesh Sharma gave finishing touches with 40*(19) runs as RCB went past 220 runs. Chasing the winning target, MI had a poor start as they were reduced to 99/4 affter 12 overs. After that, skipper Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma put up a feiry partnership of 89 runs for the fifth wicket. Pandya smashed 42 runs off just 15 balls while Tilak scored 56 runs off 29 balls. However, the RCB made a comeback in death overs as MI fell short off just 12 runs in the end.
