The Mumbai Indians’ sister franchise MI New York sealed the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket 2023 on Monday, July 31 as they beat Wayne Parnell-led Seattle Orcas by seven wickets. The only man standing for the MI New York was their stand-in skipper Nicholas Pooran, who scored the fastest century in MLC 2023 which came off just 40 deliveries.
While the player himself was celebrating this century knock in ecstasy, the MINY owner Nita Ambani was also seen celebrating Pooran’s ton. Nita Ambani, who was present in the stands for the grand finale, was seen cheering and celebrating the skipper’s ton, picture of which is now going viral on the internet.
The left-handed batter was at his attacking best as he reached his MLC century off 40 deliveries. His knock of unbeaten 137 saw him smash 10 boundaries and 13 maximums during his stay in the middle for 55 deliveries.

The Trinidadian cricketer earned praise from all over for his blistering knock in the all-important game of the MLC 2023. While some hailed him as “king”, a few others called out Mumbai Indians for identifying this talent at an early age.
