Former Pakistan skipper Rameez Raja has hailed the side's coach Misbah-ul-Haq as "poor man's MS Dhoni". He feels Misbah's quality of keeping himself restrained, expressionless and emotionless are exactly similar to that of former India captain Dhoni. However, Raja asserted that Misbah needs to adapt to "modern thinking".

"Misbah's training and upbringing is different. Let me put it this way, he is the poor man's Dhoni. MS was also restrained, no expressions and not emotional. Misbah is also like this but I think now he has to go on modern thinking," said the former Pakistan skipper in an interview on the Cricket Baaz YouTube channel.

"Misbah has to take a new direction because there is a need to set the GPS right for Pakistan cricket because aggression is in our DNA. I think at times he gets too protective and he gets cagey as soon as we lose a match. But if our products and talent is right we shouldn't be afraid of hiccups and setbacks," he added.

Virat Kohli is aggressive and expressive like Ravi Shastri, feels Raza

Stating how being aggressive on the field has helped side win matches, Raja cited examples of Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli. He revealed that the Pakistan side felt Shastri was a misfit in the Indian team during his playing days as he was aggressive. Raja added that Shastri took that attitude to Team India and it is fortunate for the coach that Kohli is also like him- "aggressive" and "expressive". However, Raza admitted that this intent has made a "big difference" for the Indian team.
