However, the 34-year-old was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Now, the fast bowler has been sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 11.75 Crore in the auction.

Mitchell Starc made his IPL debut in IPL 2014 after Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought him for INR 5 Crore in the auction. After two years with RCB, Starc was next seen playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 after getting a whopping INR 24.75 Crore from the franchise. Starc took 18 scalps from 15 matches in IPL 2024, and played a crucial role in KKR’s title campaign.
Mitchell Starc’s IPL salary has been reduced from INR 24.75 Crore to INR 11.75 Crore ahead of IPL 2025. He will be seen playing as a spearhead fast bowler for DC in the upcoming edition. This means that he is likely to complete his quota of four overs in every game. As a franchise is confirmed to play 14 league matches,Starc will bowl 336 balls in the league stage, which means the fast bowler will earn approx 3.50 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025. However, if DC qualify for the final, Starc is likely to bowl 408 balls throughout the tournament with a maximum 17 matches to be played. According to this, the Australian fast bowler will earn around INR 2.88 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025.
