Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has been getting some gametime in Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2024 fixtures. The 39-year-old, who has featured in four matches of IPL 2024 so far and has scored four runs in his two innings, got into limelight after he shared a fan’s post criticising Hardik Pandya’s captaincy.
The Instagram user, who used Mohammad Nabi’s picture, while the later was completing a catch, was critical of Hardik Pandya’s leadership. He captioned the post, “Some of your captain’s decisions are very strange and surprise people!? Nabi didn’t bowl today.” The Afghan international reshared the story on his Instagram handle and had “President. Game Changer. At a very important time, 2 catches and a very important run-out” written on it for Nabi.
With the Afghanistan all-rounder resharing the story, he seemed to have overlooked the critical caption for the MI skipper. However, on realising the critical remarks for Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder was prompt to remove it.
Talking about the Mumbai Indians, the Hardik Pandya-led franchise has been under the radar after their disappointing run in the tournament. The Mumbai-based franchise is seventh in the points table with three wins from seven games. They will next take on the table-toppers, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 22.
