The trailer of the Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay has been showcased for the first-time at the Summer Game Fest on June 9, Friday. The footage for the gameplay had glimpses of the new characters, stages, and mechanics, including some gruesome fatalities right throughout.

Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay trailer showcased a brief introduction to the game’s story, in the very beginning. It had the Earthrealm under threat from the Outworld one more time. Then, the gameplay footage gets played, in which new characters, namely, Kenshi, Sonya Blade, Kano, Stryker, Goro, and Jax, were shown, which made a great impression on the fans. 

Some of the new stages of the game, including the Pit and the Living Forest were also displayed shortly afterwards. These are two of the iconic stages of the original Mortal Kombat game, which is sure to bring back fond memories for the gamers.

As part of the new mechanics, the tag team system is provided to the users to switch between two characters, while x-ray attacks are helpful to them in inflicting bone crushing attacks on their opponents. It caught the attention of the onlookers the most as the trailer was getting played at the Summer Game Fest.

As per reports, the Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay is set to release for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 on 19 September this year. The game centres around a “reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by the Fire God Liu Kang.” Also, it is sure to usher “in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and fatalities.”
