MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson, who boasts a whopping 318 million followers on YouTube platform, the highest number in the world, has publicly stated his intention to not let Portuguese footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo pass him on the video streaming platform. In his bid to stop “UR Cristiano” from becoming the highest subscribed channel on YouTube, MrBeast commented on collaborating with Lionel Messi, the arch-rival of Cristiano Ronaldo, to ensure his subscriber number goes upwards.
Notably, after launching his YouTube channel “UR Cristiano,” the 39-year-old became the fastest to one million subscribers within 90 minutes before reaching the 10 million subscribers mark in just 12 hours. As of this writing, Cristiano Ronaldo has more than 63 million subscribers in over a month and a half, but the growth of his channel has stagnated a bit after the initial hype of the first couple of weeks.
If there were someone who would pass me, it would be Ronaldo: MrBeast
Despite that, MrBeast understands the potential of “UR Cristiano” YouTube channel surpassing him to become the highest subscribed in the world, and he doesn’t want to take a chance on it. In his interaction with Logan Paul on the Impaulsive channel, MrBeast was quoted as saying, “I broke the world record for most subs in a month, and two months later, Ronaldo comes on,” before admitting “If there were someone who would pass me, it would be Ronaldo.”
MrBeast went on to state that he won’t be going down without a fight against Cristiano Ronaldo in his bid to keep his YouTube channel on top of the charts for a foreseeable future before remarking that “if (he’s) [he’s] got to do a Messi collab" to fight Ronaldo's threat, he would do.” Apart from his YouTube channel, MrBeast also spoke to Logan Paul about his upcoming Amazon series, and the launch of Lunchly.
Meanwhile, MrBeast has also revealed about filming 15 videos on YouTube which will be published after his death to keep his channel alive.
