Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has long retired from international cricket but his off-field antics continue to make headlines. The 41-year-old still continues to garner significant attention for his away-from-cricket works. Apart from owning cricket academies, MS Dhoni also owns a production house under the name ‘Dhoni Entertainment’. The production house has produced small films like ‘Roar of the Lion’.

Now, with an aim to expand, the production house will now produce films in three more languages. Dhoni Entertainment is launching in southern India and will be producing movies in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. “Dhoni is launching his film production company in south ‘Dhoni Entertainment’ to produce films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam,” LetsCinema tweeted on Sunday.

Notably, Dhoni Entertainment is owned by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni. Vikas Hasija is the current Head of Business at Dhoni Entertainment. The production house had worked on three projects so far– Roar of the Lion, Blaze to Glory, and The Hidden Hindu.

While Roar of the Lion is an Indian documentary drama based on Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings who returned to the 2018 edition of the IPL after serving a two-year ban for allegedly involving the 2013 betting scandal, Blaze to Glory is a documentary on the events leading up to India's meritorious World cup 2011-win against Sri Lanka, breaking the 28-year World cup drought for Team India, under the leadership of the then captain, MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, the third project is a mythological thriller authored by Akshat Gupta. Set in the 21st century, The Hidden Hindu is a timeless tale of the war of good over evil.
