Pakistan One-Day International (ODI) skipper Mohammad Rizwan has censured trollers for his ‘win and learn’ statement. Rizwan has been facing a tough time after the Champions Trophy 2025 debacle at home. In the marquee International Cricket Council (ICC) event, the Men in Green failed to defend their title under Rizwan’s leadership. Following the disastrous Champions Trophy campaign, the Green Army got whitewashed under the 32-year-old’s captaincy in a three-match ODI series in New Zealand against the Kiwi team. Noting his terrible run, Pakistan fans aren’t shying away from ridiculing the wicket-keeper batter for his poor English-speaking skills.

Prior to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, Rizwan appeared in a press conference and slammed trollers for his ‘win and learn’ comment. Multan Sultans (MS) skipper said, “Mujhe isse farq nahi padhta, mujhe iss cheez pe fakar hai ki main jo alfaaz kehta hu dil se kehta hu alhamadillulah sach kehta hu. Aur alhamadillulah mujhe English nahi aati. Afsos iska hai ki maine taleem nahi li, woh alag ek sharmindagi hai. Jo mere pass hai, woh main khulke kehta hu. Mere se jo demand hai woh cricket hai. Mujhse demand English nahi hai.”

Rizwan to lead Multan Sultans in PSL 2025

Rizwan will be handling the captaincy mantle of Multan Sultans (MS) in PSL 2025. In the previous season, Sultans ended their campaign as runners-up after losing to the Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United (IU) in the final played at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Multan will start their 2025 season against Karachi Kings at the National Bank Stadium on April 12. Rizwan will strive to end his lean patch by guiding his PSL team to victory in the marquee T20 event to be played for 38 days. Back in June 2021, Sultans won their only trophy under Rizwan captaincy.
