In the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Afghanistan batter Gulbadin Naib catered controversy after he fell on the ground, clutching his hamstring. Naib, who was stationed at first slip, reacted with an instant fall to the ground, clutching his hamstring before the umpires called in for covers. Although, this incident did not result in any overs lost, but it was followed by passing showers.

Moreover, this instance came just when Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott had signalled the players to slow down in order to continue their lead with DLS coming into picture. But after all things went in their favour and they won the match by eight runs, pacer Naveen-ul-Haq took to social media to take a dig at Gulbadin Naib.

The Afghan pacer took to Instagram to share a meme post for his compatriot.  Here in the post, Naveen took a dig at Naib’s injury, editing an instance from the Bollywood movie, Welcome. Although, he apologised on the spot with the caption reading, “Sorry @gulbadin.naib but had to post this”.
