Time: 9:00 p.m. EST (6:30 A.M. IST)

Venue: TD Garden, Boston

Preview:

After a sub-par performance in Game 2, the Boston Celtics turned up and took apart the Golden State Warriors to win the third game 116-100. The Celtics' big three of Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined to score 77. Similarly, the Dubs also had their stars score big points as Steph Curry and Klay Thompson scored 25+ points each. But the Splash Bros didn’t have a lot of support.

Entering this fixture, Boston is averaging 107.2 points on 45.4% shooting. They are hitting 37.3% from 3-point land and 80.4% from the free-throw line. Defensively they are allowing 101.6 points on a shooting percentage of 43.5% from the field and 33.2% from beyond the arc and a defensive rating of 106.9. On the other hand, GSW is averaging 113.0 points while shooting 48.7% from the field, 38.3% from deep and 75.6% from the free-throw line. Defensively they are allowing 108.9 points and a defensive rating of 106.9.

Team News:

Golden State Warriors:

James Wiseman with an injured knee will miss the entire series and could be directly seen in the Summer League. While Andre Iguodala (knee), Otto Porter Jr. (foot) and Steph Curry (foot) are questionable for Game 4.

Boston Celtics:

Robert Williams (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's NBA Finals Game 4 as reported by Celtics team reporter Amanda Pflugrad.

Analysis:

Both these teams are built on similar principles as they have two prominent scorers with a vocal and defensive leader. For GSW the duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have been consistent but their defensive anchor Draymond Green has failed to make an impact leaving a big hole in the roster.

Whereas for the Celtics, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been their top scorers with the defensive player of the year Marcus Smart who put up big points in game three. Similarly, their other players like Derrick White and Al Horford also scored crucial points after a down performance in game three.
