In the most-awaited boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which happened on Friday at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, India's Neeraj Goyat made the country proud with his win against Brazilian YouTuber and comedian Whindersson Nunes in a six-round super middleweight-class bout. The 33-year-old Goyat registered a win over Nunes in a unanimous decision (59-55, 60-54 X2) in a six-round contest.
The 33-year-old Indian has won four of his previous five fights, his most recent victory coming last year in a second-round Technical Knockout (TKO) over Phakorn Aiemyod. Nunes, on the other hand, recently made his professional debut, losing to Nathan Bartling on the Misfits Boxing Prime Card. The Brazilian has only participated in exhibition matches. Their fight was the final of five undercard bouts preceding Tyson and Paul's main event.

Neeraj Goyat is a well-known Indian professional boxer and one of the country's top names in the sport. Goyat, who was born on November 11, 1991, in Haryana, has built a name for himself in the ring thanks to his skill, determination, and resilience. He is most recognized for becoming the first Indian boxer to be ranked by the World Boxing Council (WBC), which was a landmark moment in Indian boxing history.
Born in Begumpur, Haryana, Goyat was the first Indian to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics qualification in Venezuela, just missing out in the end. He also won a bronze medal at the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games.Goyat has a professional boxing record of 18 wins, four defeats, and two draws from 24 fights. Goyat was scheduled to face double WBC champion Amir Khan but had to bow out due to injuries to his head, face, and left arm sustained in an accident.
In the year 2023, Goyat constantly challenged Jake Paul for not fighting against well-known fighters, and a bout between the two was also rumored. Goyat had signed a contract with Most Valuable Promotions, the same boxing promotion firm as Paul. However, a fight between the two is supposedly only possible after Paul's battle with Tyson.
