Ahead of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, one of the most popular OTT platform, Netflix has announced a football documentary on FIFA that deals with the power struggle and politics in the sport. The documentary, "FIFA Uncovered" is set to release in November, few days prior to the Qatar World Cup.
The documentary explored the various verticals of the FIFA and its history. From the political issues to the power struggles including corruption and other malign influences on the sport, Netflix is set to expose the dark secrets of football in FIFA Uncovered.
Netflix took to Twitter to launch the trailer of their new documentary and wrote, " For decades, FIFA united the globe through football. But behind the game, craftier schemes were at play. This documentary series traces the organisation's legacy, exploring the pageantry, power struggles and politics of hosting the World Cup."

The documentary is set to be released on November 5 and it will reportedly shed light on money laundering, racketeering and tax evasion within the federation. FIFA Uncovered talks about the impact of former FIFA President Sepp Blatter, who admitted that it was a mistake to award this year's mega event to Qatar.
Blatter and former UEFA boss Michel Platini were under trial over corruption charges and were finally cleared of any wrongdoing this year.
