Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan took a dig at the Pakistan cricket team for their poor fielding in the World Cup 2023 warm-up match against Australia. Pakistan took on Australia in their second warm-up fixture at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad on October 3, Tuesday. While the Men in Green have always been appreciated for their explosive bowling and batting skills in global cricket, their fielding has always got them under the scanners.
One such incident took place during their match against the Kangaroos, and the Indian veteran didn’t hold himself back as he trolled the Men in Green for the same. Dhawan posted a video of Pakistani cricketers Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr., who failed to save one of the deliveries and almost ran into each other.
The 37-year-old took to Twitter and wrote, “Pakistan & fielding never ending love story 🥰😄😄 #PakistanFielding #PakCricket”. The tweet by ‘Gabbar’ went viral in no time, amassing reactions and shares from fans across the world. Notably, this isn’t the first incident of fielding error due to miscommunication between the Pakistan cricketers.
Hasan Ali saves boundary by displaying football skills
During the match, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali saved a boundary by displaying his football skills. Ali slid onto the field in an attempt to save the ball from reaching the boundary while kicking it. This unique save from Ali left his teammates, including their stand-in captain Shadab Khan and pacer Haris Rauf. Earlier in the game, the Baggy Greens, after winning the toss, posted a mammoth total of 351 runs at a loss of seven wickets.
