The 47-year-old was feeling unwell for a number of days as per the statement of Newcastle United before he was taken to the hospital on Friday night, and with that, he is going to miss the home fixture against Manchester United this weekend.
As per the report from BBC Sport, while Newcastle United didn’t give any details in regards to his illness or condition, he will be replaced on the touchline by assistant managers Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones during the Manchester United clash. For the visitors, Ruben Amorim will be at the touchline, and he will be hoping to secure an important win at the expense of Newcastle United’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) aspiration, to propel them up the Premier League points table.
