West Indies star player Nicholas Pooran has been in sublime form lately. His innings of 67 off 40 deliveries not only powered West Indies to their second consecutive win over India in the five-match T20I series but also helped the side reach a mark where they are just a win away from clinching the series.

However, during the match the West Indies wicketkeeper-batter also got under the limelight for some wrong reasons. The Trinidadian cricketer reportedly got into a fight with the umpire after Kyle Mayers was dismissed off Arshdeep Singh as the umpires adjudged LBW.

However, Mayers reviewed the call with the flat line showing in the DRS. But a slight clip on the top of the leg bail resulted in third umpire also calling on hitting the stumps, eventually with Mayers returning at the score of 15 off seven deliveries.

Earlier, post the opening T20I of the five-match series, Mayers had revealed Virat Kohli to be the most prized wicket. When asked if among Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, which would be his most precious wicket, Mayers was quick to respond as he said, “Virat Kohli.” He further added, “Any bowler would like to get out Kohli. He’s one of the best players across formats.”

The two sides will next lock horns in the third T20I of the series on August 8 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. While the Hardik Pandya and his men will look to comeback with a strong performance, Rovman Powell’s side will aim to clinch the series having won the first two T20Is.
