The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue suffered a thrashing defeat in the first Test of the two-match Test series against South Africa in Centurion. The visitors lost by an inning and 32 runs and now trail the series. Amid India’s loss in the first Test, Indian Test batter Ajinkya Rahane, who was left out of the 15-member squad against South Africa surfaced on X (formerly Twitter).
The 35-year-old just a day after India’s defeat shared a video of practicing in the nets. He captioned the video, “No rest days”. Speaking of his video, Rahane practiced a flick shot to a fuller-length delivery.

The Indian Test batter even though did not manage to find a place in the squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa, the right-hand batter has not lost hope and is busy working on his skills in order to regain his place in the side.

The 35-year-old was last part of the Indian side in the West Indies series. He did make a comeback in the World Test Championship Final against Australia after his brilliant performance for CSK in the IPL 2023.
