PUBG Mobile Esports has announced the final special invite slot for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024, awarded to defending champions IHC Esports from Mongolia. Indian fans had high hopes for this year’s championship, anticipating the last special invite would go to an Indian team. Unfortunately, no Indian team will represent the country on the global stage in 2024. The last Indian team to compete in the PMGC was Godlike Esports, who participated in 2021.
IHC Esports gets Special Invite
On October 14, 2024, PUBG Mobile Esports revealed the last invite slot to IHC Esports. This team includes well-known players like Godless, Zyol, DEMO, Abely, and Alex. With this announcement, 47 teams have been finalized for PMGC 2024, with only two slots remaining to be filled through the PEL Qualifier and the Rivals Cup.
No slot for India in PMGC 2024
Fans were excited and hopeful that India would finally get a slot in PMGC 2024. India has not had a slot in the PMGC since 2021. India fans are eager to see the country compete in a global championship with the best teams from around the world.
Recently, the BMPS 2024 took place in India, and Team XSpark emerged as the champion. The competition attracted nearly 500,000 peak viewers. The country will now have to wait for other tournaments, like the India-Korea Invitational, to see its teams compete against international teams.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 will take place from 31 October to 8 December 2024. A total of 49 teams will compete in the League Stage, and the top 16 will play Grand Finals in London for the prestigious title.
