Pakistan A skipper Mohammad Haris who led his side to victory in the Emerging Teams  Asia Cup 2023 final over India made a statement over the rivals. Pakistan A won the nail-biting thriller in the last over of the game and ended up lifting the trophy. However, the win of the Indian neighbours came into the radar of several critics where many said that the clash between India A and Pakistan A was more like a clash between senior Pakistanis and young Indians. Haris broke his silence on the same and made a controversial statement against the Indians.

Haris was in a conversation with Farid Khan, where the 22-year-old Pakistan cricketer said that nobody asked the Indian side to bring ‘young kids’ to the Emerging Asia Cup. Not only this, but he also added that the players on the Indian side have played many IPL matches.

The Pakistan cricketer said, “People are saying that we brought senior players while they had young players in the team. We never told them to bring ‘young kids’ in the team. Some also said that we have experience of playing international games, but how many games have we played in total?”

Haris added, “While Saim (Saim Ayub) has played only five games, I have played six games. All of them are T20 games.” He went on to say, “Indian players have played IPL, which is not a small tournament.”

Notably, in the recently concluded tournament, Indians had not lost even a single game before the final clash. In the final, the Indian side lost the game by a huge margin of 128 runs. Coming to bat first, Pakistan had put up a score of 352 runs at the loss of eight wickets. However, the Indians couldn’t deliver a power-packed performance and were bundled out at only 224 runs.
