India’s star opener Rohit Sharma refused to pick between Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Australia’s Mitchell Starc, saying they are both equally dangerous bowlers. Sharma was asked to choose one of them in a rapid-fire round of questions during a video interview posted on the ICC’s social media handle.

Sharma, who has faced both Afridi and Starc in international cricket, said he would not prefer to face either of them, especially with the new ball. The batter said that both bowlers can swing the ball at pace and trouble the batsmen. He stated that both the bowlers are quality and quite threatening.

He has not faced Shaheen Afridi a lot in ODIs, just once in the 2018 Asia Cup, where he survived the Pakistani pacer. Talking about his record against Starc, the batter has faced him quite a few times since 2012 but has been dismissed only thrice in 118 deliveries.

Sharma also answered other questions in the video, such as his favourite world cup win (1983 or 2011), but the India captain refused to give a clear answer and said that it was a difficult question and that he would choose both. When asked to choose between his favourite shot among the cover drive and the pull shot, the 36-year-old did not hesitate to say ‘pull shot’.
