Liverpool manager Arne Slot has denied giving rest to star players of the team during the upcoming Premier League 2024-25 fixture against Manchester United. The match is scheduled to take place at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on January 5, 2025. Liverpool are currently at the top of the points table with 14 wins in 18 matches, while Manchester United seem to be struggling in the ongoing season, standing at the 14th position and are coming after losing four consecutive matches across all competitions.
Despite Liverpool’s dominant outing and Manchester United’s poor show in the ongoing season, Arne Slot doesn’t want to judge United on the basis of their current standing in the points table and confirmed that the key players will be part of the upcoming encounter against them. “Rotating players against Man United? No, not an option.” Arne Slot said during the press conference ahead of the much awaited clash.

Speaking further, Aren Slot also reflected on Manchester United’s performance in the ongoing season. The Liverpool coach opined that their arch-rivals are much better team than what it shows on the points table. Slot also said that it could also be challenge for United’s new head coach Ruben Amorim and anticipated that the former Portuguese footballer will soon bring out the best from the club.
“A strange question… no I don’t plan to. It’s a big game. For me, I said it before the first fixture and one more time, they have much better players than the league table shows. It will take a while, maybe, for Ruben Amorim, but they will definitely go up, and they are much, much better than the league table shows,” Arne Slot was quoted as saying by The Goal.
