While the Sri Lanka saw some heated moments, which took the internet on fire with Angelo Mathews becoming the first-ever cricketer to be timed out in international cricket. The moments not only turned the match, but several moments thereafter followed as in the Bangladesh inning, he was seen exchanging words with Litton Das struggling with cramps.

However, in the 14th over of the Bangladesh inning, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Sadeera Samarawickrama were seen exchanging words. Soon after the fourth delivery of the 14th over, Sadeera, who was positioned at cover walked in close to the non-striker to heat up the moments in the match with umpire Richard Illingworth intervening to resolve the situation. Pictures of the same have been doing rounds now.

Talking about both these teams, while Bangladesh were the first to be eliminated from the ODI World Cup, Sri Lanka still has a little ray of hope to make it to the semifinals. The Kusal Mendis-led side need to win both their games, with a little hope that other teams’ results also go in their favour for a place in the semifinals.
