Today marks the 5-year anniversary of the record-breaking 229 run-partnership between AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli in IPL against Gujrat Lions. RCB had a stellar season in 2016 with strong performances from both Virat Kohli and de Villiers. The RCB skipper scored 973 runs which is the highest for any player in single IPL season, while AB de Villiers scored 687 runs. Kohli recorded 4 centuries in a single IPL season which was a record for any player.
