Kobe Bryant achieved an historical feat at the age of 31 years and 151 days on January 21, 2010. The former Los Angeles Lakers star became the youngest player in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to score 25000 career goals at that time. Later, he was surpassed by LeBron James, who scored 25000 NBA career goals at the age of 30 years and 307 days

Although, Kobe Bryant’s milestone of becoming youngest player to score 25000 NBA career goals won’t rank at the top of his career accomplishments whenever he was inducted into Hall of Fame, but it was a great achievement at that time as he surpassed Wilt Chamberlain and reached the milestone despite getting limited opportunities in his first two years and was second option behind Shaquille O’Neal for several years.

That’s what I do best: Kobe Bryant after becoming youngest NBA player to score 25000 career goals

After achieving the historic feat, Kobe Bryant said this was unexpected for him to achieve this milestone. “That’s what I do best,” Bryant was quoted as saying by Lakers Nation. “Steve Nash is a great passer, I’m a great scorer. It’s what I do,” he further said while adding that he continues to do what he used to do as a kid.

“I think it just came easiest to me because, at an early age [when I was] five or six years old, I could put it in my left hand, put it in my right and that age, if you can go left against those kids it’s like shooting fish in a barrel,” Kobe Bryant recalled his early playing days memories. Later LeBron James surpassed Kobe Bryant to become the youngest NBA player to score 25000 career goals.
