South African wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock is celebrating his 32nd birthday on December 17, 2024. The left-handed opening batter is known for giving fiery starts to his team with his fearless batting. Apart from that, De Kock has also made several records with wicket-keeping skills. He made his debut in international cricket in a T20I against New Zealand in Durban on December 21, 2012. A month later, De Kock played his first ODI for the Proteas, and went on to make his Test debut in 2014.
Quinton de Kock has played 54 Tests, 155 ODIs, and 92 T20I matches in his career so far, amassing 12654 runs in all three formats combined. He played his last Test in 2021, and announced his retirement from the ODI format of the 2023 ODI World Cup. De Kock played his last international game during the 2024 T20 World Cup final in Barbados.
Talking about his IPL career, De Kock has played for five franchises with the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians (MI), and Lucknow Super Giants, and won the title with MI in 2019 and 2020.
