Manchester United forward Antony has reportedly got some relief as one of three accusers dropped complaints filed against him. Antony has been involved in police investigations in both Sao Paulo and Manchester after he was accused of violent behaviour. The 23-year-old who has repeatedly denied the allegations has neither been arrested nor charged as of now.
However, as per reports by The Telegraph, Rayssa de Freitas, a law student, who had accused the Man United winger of attacking her in a car in May 2022 withdrew her complaint. Notably, the incident also involved Mallu Ohana, ex-wife of Brazilian footballer Dudu, and she as well as the footballer attacked her in the latter’s Land Rover, after all three of them had partied in a nightclub.
Though the reasons behind the retraction of the complaint remain hidden, there have been rumours that both Ohana and De Freitas have accused each other of sexual assault. While one of the complaints against Antony has been withdrawn, it doesn’t reduce his problems.
A 33-year-old banker Ingrid Lana had accused the Sao Paulo-born of aggressive behaviour in October 2022 during an interview with Record TV. Not only this, but his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin also maintains accusations of assault on four separate occasions.
