The NBA's oldest player LeBron James (39) and the youngest player GG Jackson (19) squared off against each other on Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 136-124 at the FedExForum. LeBron James was the star of the night for the Lakers as he registered a triple-double in star center Anthony Davis' absence, while the Grizzlies forward reflected on his first game against the greatest NBA scorer of all time.

The Lakers dominated the Grizzlies in all four quarters as LeBron James registered a triple-double with 23 points, 12 assists, and 14 rebounds on 57.1% shooting from the field while Rui Hachimura exploded at the FedExForum with 32 points and 10 rebounds, draining 7-off-8 three-pointers.

In a post-game interview, GG Jackson, who was born on December 17, 2004, when LeBron was already in his second NBA season, was asked about his first interaction with LeBron James and the young forward responded with a straight face, " Other than him hitting fadeaways and f*****g us up, not really."

LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to five games and also improved their season record to 41-32, however, they are still placed ninth in the Western Conference standings. In the 2023-24 NBA regular season, the Lakers will play their next four games on the road, starting with their clash against the Indiana Pacers on Friday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
