Indian cricketer Shivam Dube took to social media to share happy news with fans on Saturday, January 4. Dube announced the birth of his second child with wife Anjum Khan. Notably, the all-rounder opted out of Mumbai’s last two league stage matches in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 in Ahmedabad due to paternity break. Notably, the couple that tied the knot on July 16, 2021 in Mumbai, welcomed their first child, Ayaan, on February 12, 2022. A source had earlier revealed that Dube had applied for paternity break. 

On Saturday, the couple took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their second child, a baby girl. The couple named their daughter Mehwish. They posted an animated post featuring the cricketer, his wife, son and their new-born daughter. It was accompanied with a caption, “03.01.2025. It’s a girl. Our hearts just grew bigger as we became a family of 4. Welcome Mehwish Shivam Dube. #complete family.”

Shivam Dube in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25

Talking about Shivam Dube’s current run, the all-rounder is participating in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. He is a part of Mumbai team, which is being led by Shreyas Iyer. Playing three matches so far, Dube posted 80 runs and picked one wicket. Not only this, but Shivam was also a part of the Mumbai squad which emerged victorious in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He played a total of five matches in the tournament and scored 151 runs at an average of 75.50. 

One of his best knocks in the tournament was that against Services, where he posted a total of 71* runs, and helped the side win the game. Speaking of Mumbai, they are set to play their last league match on Sunday against Saurashtra. Mumbai have won three matches and lost two matches so far, and are placed third on the table with 12 points.
