Los Angeles Clippers All-Star Paul George suffered a horrific right leg injury during his team's one-point loss against Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. After the injury, the 32-year-old guard left the game against the Thunder late in the fourth quarter with the postseason only less than a month away.
Before suffering the scary injury, George registered 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists in his 35 minutes of action for the Clippers. Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard led the team scoring with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists, however, OKC guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander erupted for game-high 31 points to help his side register back-to-back wins and climb up to the seventh place in the Western Conference standings.
With less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Paul went up for a rebound and while it seemed he took the ball in his posession, Thunder guard Luguentz Dort tried to challenge but ended up hitting the Clippers guard's knee. Paul appeared to hyperextend his knee as he landed awkwardly after colliding his right knee with Dort's knee in the air.
