Paul Pogba and Juventus have mutually agreed to end their contract and part ways as the French midfielder is currently serving his 18-month ban from football. Pogba will be returning to football in March 2025 after he got a doping ban for positive DHEA-boosting testosterone test. The ban had came into effect in September 2023. The Serie A club never appeared particularly excited to welcome Paul Pogba back after his four-year doping term was reduced to 18 months. The 31-year-old Pogba, who will be free to restart his career next year, has stated that he is willing to give up money to play for Juventus again. His contract with Juventus was set to expire in June 2026.
In a statement released by the Italian giants, “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November 2024. The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.' Pogba initially received a four-year ban but successfully appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to lower the ban to 18 months. The midfielder remains determined to return stronger once his suspension is removed.

In his statement on Instagram, Paul Pogba thanked Juventus and its fans, and stated he is looking forward to starting a new chapter in his professional football career. 'My time at Juventus has come to an end. It has been a privilege to wear the Bianconeri shirt and share so many special moments together. I will cherish the memories we have made,' the striker said.
'I look forward to the next chapter of my career and to getting back on the pitch with my next club,' Pogba further added.
On his official Instagram account, Pogba mentioned that his bond with Juventus fans will remain unforgettable. 'There are moments when things don't go the way we want, but one thing is certain: the bond I have with you, dear fans, will remain unforgettable. According to reports, Pogba is eyeing a move to Ligue 1 with Marseille as the eventual destination. His return to French football will help the former Manchester United player revitalize his career and work his way back to competitive football once his suspension is up.
