The Italian giants, Juventus are reportedly interested in giving the Manchester United outcast, Mason Greenwood a fresh start back to top-level football. Reports also claim that Paul Pogba is trying to seal the deal after Milan and Roma showed their interest, with Juventus looking forward to signing a long-term loan deal by this summer.
According to The Sun, the Serie A giants have ‘made it clear’ that they are ‘very interested’ in giving the 21-year-old a way back to top-tier football, a move that can possibly reunite Greenwood with his former teammate Paul Pogba at the Allianz Stadium. Not only this but reports also claim that Pogba will play a key role in assisting Juventus to seal the deal.
Greenwood was frozen out in January 2022 when he was arrested and later charged with attempted rape, and assault with controlling and coercive behaviour. Though these charges were later dropped in February 2023, sources claimed that the Manchester United players were still not ready to welcome him back into the squad.
It is best recommended for the 21-year-old forward to starting afresh abroad, but as Roma and AC Milan are linked, it seems Juventus is eager to sign and give the England international a chance. Notably, Greenwood earned a senior cap for England that he earned in September 2020, and is under a contract with Manchester United till June 2025. Records suggest that he has 35 goals, and 12 assists in 129 games for the senior squad.
